The Real Risk – The Toreador
When Swissmovie turns seriousness into satire—and AI into a tool for creative truth.

Creating something sometimes means taking a hit. And that’s just fine.
Our new film, The Real Risk – The Toreador, kicks off a series of mini-ads that explore a simple idea:
the courage to create, somewhere between inspiration and absurdity.
The tone is set from the very first seconds: a flawless suit, a confident voice, “inspirational” phrases that are far too perfect to be sincere.
Everything seems carefully orchestrated—until reality, quite literally, reasserts itself.
It’s a satire of our times and of ourselves:
—a world where everyone “dares,” “inspires,” and “creates”… but where reality always ends up bringing us back down to earth.
With a touch of humor, of course.
A satire on creative courage
The film deliberately plays on the conventions of corporate videos: flattering lighting, a solemn tone, a gaze toward the horizon…
But beneath the surface, it tells a very different story: the disconnect between vision and reality.
To create is to step into the arena without certainty.
It is to accept failure, to doubt, to face opponents stronger than oneself.
And that is precisely what we wanted to show:
that there is no courage without a touch of the ridiculous.
Nor is there creation without imbalance.
The first episode of an upcoming series
The Toreador is just the beginning.
This is the first episode of our series The Real Risk,
a project we’ll continue throughout the year in various formats: poetic, absurd, or downright comical.
Each episode will explore a different aspect of creative risk.
Because for us, it is in this tension—between boldness and clumsiness—that the truth of a film is born.
Yes, we’ll keep taking risks.
Probably even bigger ones.
AI as a testing ground
We have chosen to produce Le Toreador entirely usingartificial intelligence tools.
But not to “get people talking about us” or to work faster.
To understand. To learn. To explore.
The script and direction were crafted by hand.
The storyboards and images were generated using AI based on highly detailed prompts and precise visual references.
The editing, color grading, and sound design, however, were done manually, with the same level of attention to detail as on a real film set.
AI doesn't replace anything.
It simply forces us to be more precise.

This film was created entirely from an original screenplay,
reference images, and detailed prompts.
Nothing was left to chance—not the lighting, not the tone, not the ending.
Technology is merely a tool; the intention remains human.
Why did we take that risk?
Because it would be hypocritical to talk about “creative risk”... without taking one ourselves.
AI is still viewed with suspicion in the creative world.
But at Swissmovie, we prefer to embrace change rather than be at its mercy.
We develop and test these tools in-house,
and we only integrate them into our processes when they deliver real time savings, without compromising on quality or authenticity.
It’s a long-term vision: planned, demanding, and fully embraced.
Innovation doesn’t define us— it prepares us.
Humor as Truth
The film ends with a line that has become a cult classic in our office:
“Oh my gosh… he’s such an idiot.”
It’s a fall, but also a mirror.
A nod to ourselves, to creators, to brands, to everyone who takes life (and their messages) a little too seriously.
Laughing at oneself is a form of intelligence.
And perhaps the most beautiful proof of sincerity.
It is also the foundation of our vision:
emotion and humor are two sides of the same courage.
What “The Real Risk” Says About Swissmovie
We have always produced advertising films:
—short, visually striking, and meaningful films, crafted with a focus on lighting, pacing, and storytelling.
This project is a continuation of that one.
It simply takes the question a step further:
How far can we go without losing our authenticity?
At Swissmovie, we believe technology should serve our vision, not the other way around.
Because in the end, the only thing that matters,
is how we see the world.
Be bold. Create. Inspire.
The Real Risk – The Toreador is not a film about courage.
It is a film about humility.
About that moment when confidence turns into clarity.
And about the beauty of being shaken up a little—by reality.
It is also a statement of intent:
Swissmovie will continue to experiment, to laugh, to take risks,
because it is there, in that imbalance,
that the stories that matter are born.
Be bold. Create. Inspire.
